Belize Companies & Corporate Affairs Registry (BCCAR) is the Government of Belize Local Business Registry. All firms or individuals conducting business in Belize report to BCCAR for registration. The Companies Registry Office in Belize is the central repository of public statutory information on Belize companies. The registry is in charge of;
- Incorporation of companies
- Registration of business names
- Registration of company incorporation documents
- Changes to the specifics of a business name must be registered.
- Enforcement, prosecution, and deregistration of businesses
- Provision of information to the public
Company registration with the Belize Companies and Corporate Affairs Registry takes a maximum of 2-3 days. The following information must be maintained by the Registrar:
- All of the paperwork has been submitted to the Registry.
- The Memorandum of Association and/or any amendments made throughout its existence
- Articles of Association and changes
- Certificate of Incorporation of the company
- Certificates with amendments (if applicable)
- Updated Register of Directors
